Helsinki Finnish Winner ´06 Show
10th of December, 2006
entry 63 borzois
judge John Reeve-Newson, kennel Kishniga, Canada
What a lovely day again - big show, beautiful dogs and lot of
friends!

First I showed the red Vitoson, EuJW´06 Mogilnikov "Sergej",
in junior males. Sergej won his class with EX1 (out of 8) - and became
FINNISH JUNIOR WINNER '06!!! Sergej got also Qualified for
Crufts '07 or '08 - again! What a wonderful ending for Sergej's
career in junior class :-)
Champion males class was the biggest class with 14 borzois.
Vito showed very nicely and became EX3 and BM-4!
Congratulations
to the Swedish winners Susanna & Stefan!
Such a great ending for a nice year :-) And BIIIIG
congratulations to Katri and Sergej again!
What a weekend -
show success and 10 puppies born!
20th - 21nd of October, 2006
Finland - Sweden
Vito, Tindra and our whole family took a little weekend trip to
Sweden for a show on Sunday and at the same time also brought
lady Tindra back home. We stayed at Vito's breeder's house
in Eskilstuna, thank you for all your great hospitality,
Elisabet!!!

We also made a very nice visit to the Eskilstuna zoo. Curry,
the White Bengali tiger who grew with Vito & his littermates at
Elisabet's home those first months of his life, has grew HUGE
now! It was so touching to see what a great bond Curry and
Elisabet still has between them!

Vito became a father of 10 puppies!
20th of October, 2006 - Finland
In the Saturday morning I got such a wonderful sms to my
mobile phone:
During the night Ronja (Tarijemiran Baranja) has made an excellent job and delivered
10 big puppies to the world!!! :-)
So, the new Tarijemiran D-litter is 8 males and 2 females in very
good size. Greetings and BIG congratulations and hugs to Ronja's
owner Katri and her family and Riitta, Tapio & Anniina of
Tarijemiran kennel!
Puppies' colours are from white-grey to very dark manteled
red-brindle. The pups were born at Ronja's home - so nice for
the new mother.
And thank you so much for sharing your huge knowledge Vappu Vuorenmaa, kennel Kaznan!!!
The lovely news caused tens and tens of phone calls between
Finland and Sweden, so my phone bill will probably kill me. But
that's not this weekend's problem, so now we just enjoy the
moment of this big happiness!!! :-)

Vito in Sighthound Club Speciality in Sweden
21st of October, 2006 - Hagelby, Sweden
entry 24 borzois
judge Kari Salminen, Finland
Back to the roots! So lovely to show Vito in Sweden!
We went to the show together with Elisabet and Malin & Stefan (thank
you for the car drive there!)
Vito was competing in open males, he showed very nicely and
won the class.
The Best Male class was hard competition and Vito became BM-2
after a very nicely moving champion male. Big congratulations
Annica & Gulle!
We can also congratulate ourselves a bit as Vito won the CAC and
became a SWEDISH CHAMPION!!! :-) That was such a wonderful
end for this great weekend!

Love is in the air again = Vito + Tindra
9th - 20th of October, 2006
Eriksnäs, Sipoo
The breeder of Vito, Elisabet Jonsson of Lynx kennel, had
contacted me about t a very intresting litter plan of Vito &
MBISS Int & S & Fin & N & Dk Ch NordW´04 Lynx Dark Lady "Tindra".
So, now the time was right and Elisabet came from Sweden
with her gorgoeus Tindra.

Vito and Tindra liked each other a lot, but it was probably a
bit too early for the mating and Elisabet had to leave back on
11th, so we decided that Tindra will stay with us until 20th of
October, when we go to Sweden for a dog show and then bring the
lovely lady back to Elisabet.

Tindra seemed to like it with us - especially laying on the
couch and watching TV with Juuso. Lady Tindra didn't only charm
us, but also Vito, so now we just start the countdown and wait
for the puppies for December :-)

Helsinki all breed show
2nd of September, 2006, Tuomarinkylä
entry 19 borzois
judge Claudio de Giuliani, Italy
A bit rainy day, but such a nice day as there's so many
friends around :-)
Vito became EX1 again, won BM-1 and finally after hard
competition BOB!
We are so proud and happy of our lovely Vito :-)
Thank you Nina for letting us use your tent a bit when it was
raining hardest!

Love is in the air = Vito + Ronja
22-26th of August, 2006
Eriksnäs, Sipoo
Riitta Liesko of Tarijemiran borzois had contacted me earlier
this autumn and asked if Vito could become a husband for Ronja (Tarijemiran
Baranja).
That would be a great honour and definitely "yes", as Ronja has
such a wonderful pedigree (these days quite rare Kaznan lines,
for example ) and she has lot of qualities I really like.
So, on 22nd of August Ronja moved to us for a week and
charmed Vito right away :-) Now we just hope the best and wait
puppies for October!
Heinola all breed show
20th of August, 2006
entry 23 borzois
judge Tomasz Borkowski, Poland
Vito and I on the wheels again. My parents also came to see
the show.
Vito won champion males again and became BM-2.

A trip to Latvia - 2 new titles for Vito
12th-13th of August, 2006
Sipoo-Helsinki-Tallinn-Ozolnieki
and back
International dog show in Ozolnieki, Latvia
I lost the catalogue, no idea about the entry
judge Seamus Oates, Ireland
On Saturday morning my father, Vito and I took a fast ferry
from Helsinki to Tallinn. It's so practical and really fast way
to get to the Southern side of the sea! Just 1,5 hours and we
were in Estonia.
The driving to Latvia was easy and pretty fast too. We didn't
even manage to get lost in Riga, even though I was driving ;-)

A nice hotel and good dinner in Ozolnieki. What a lovely
castle with a nice park they have right in the center of the
city!
We entered the show ground 40 minutes before the ring, which
was very lucky as there became some very weird misunderstanding
with Vito's vaccinations. We got simply informed that the
only way to enter the show is to get a stamp to Vito's Europass from a local vet.
Otherwise - not allowed to enter the show ring. WHAT?! I couldn't believe my ears (why fake tears never come out
of the eyes when they are really needed?!) - what problem, what
kind of a goddamn stamp, what
vet, WHERE is the vet - and we definitely don't have enough time
to find a veterinary before the ring!!! Aaaaarghhh!!!! Goddamnit, and we are
NOT giving up now - we just GET that stamp NOW!!!!!
So we rushed back to the car and drove to the nearest gas
station (as we didn't have any idea where the veterinary was) in full
speed like total maniacs on the streets we have never been
before! Thank you SO MUCH, you gentleman, who I grabbed out of a
gas station and who showed us the way to the veterinary ! :-)
After some VERY stressful 20 minutes behind the closed doors of
the empty looking animal hospital, a very friendly vet came from
her home, took us inside the animal hospital, checked Vito's
papers, gave a big, blue bautiful stamp to his Europass - and off we run,
jumped back to the car, driving again in full speed trying to
remember the way back to the show ground!
Weird enough, we made it in time, and even had 8 minutes to chat
with people and brush Vito before it was time for us to enter
the ring!
I guess Vito is not very stressing kind of dog as he was
showing his best, almost flying around the ring - won his
class, won the Best Male competition and eventually became BOB
with the last CACIB he needed to complete his INTERNATIONAL
CHAMPION title!!!! Vito also got CAC which made him LATVIAN
CHAMPION too! We couldn't be happier and more proud of our
lovely, darling Vito!!!
What an extraordinary day, what excitement, and what a weird
combination of desperation and BIG JOY in less than one hour!!!!
Thank you Mr Oates for appreciating our precious Vito, thank you The
Gentleman who lead our way to the vet, thank you The Vet who
came to work just right in time and thank you my father, who
didn't mention anything about the existing speed limits when I
drove in two wheels on the little roads to the veterinary and
back!
These days are some of those precious days that makes life such
an amazing adventure!
A long weekend in Kuopio and two int. shows
Friday 4th of August, 2006
entry 21 borzois
judge Marion Spavin, GB
Sunday 6th of August, 2006
entry 27 borzois
judge Seamus Oates, Ireland
My mom, Stella, Vito and I headed to Kuopio on Thursday
evening and stayed in a cosy hotel which was very suitable for dogs.
Friday was the first show day with the judge Marion Spavin,
GB. Vito showed nicely, became EX2 and BM-2. And Stella was all
dusty after playing in our tent :-)
Saturday we had a free day, just watching the rings of
different breeds. That's
quite nice actually as normally we are so busy having Vito
entered there too.
On Sunday I was showing Vito again and this time he became
EX3 and BM-3.
The driving from Kuopio to home, Sipoo, seemed to be much more short
than the other way :-)

Helsinki all breed show
16th of July, 2006, Tuomarinkylä
entry 17 borzois
breed judge Dolores Dinneen, Ireland
group judge Dee Hyde, Australia
Helsinki show again - no big driving! Vito & I went to the
show with Stella and my parents. My parents are The Best dog
show company as they have seen me so many times during so many
years in the ring, and they give very good and straight critique
on my handling! And they are the ones to blame why I have ever
started this hobby ;-)
Vito went to ring showing very nicely again and won his class,
BM-1 and BOB!
Then we drove to my parents' house to have a little lunch, and came
back to the show for Group competition.
Vito moved very energetic in the ring and ended up Group-4!
What a nice day in my favourite show ground!
Mustiala Sighthound Speciality show +
Pori all breed show
1st of July, Mustiala
entry 28 borzois in speciality
judge in speciality Marina Ostrovkaya, kennel Solovjov, Russia
2nd of July, 2006, Pori
entry 13 borzois
judge in Pori Branislav Rajic, Slovenia
On Saturday my mother, Stella and I had an early breakfast
and we drove up to Mustiala with the best travelling companion,
Vito.
What a hot sunny day in Mustiala, lovely for people, but
easily too much for the dogs! We were lucky to get a place in a
good shadow. So many friends again! Vito showed nicely and
became EX2 and BM-2.
After the show we pakcked the car again and drove straight to
Pori. We had a reservation in a quite nice hotel in the center
and had a lovely dinner together. The hotel room was hot like a
sauna. Vito didn't mind and I guess we Finnish people are also
liking sauna in a way.
We managed to get a bit lost on our way to the dog show,
which was just 5 km from our hotel. I don't know how it's
possible, but so it happened :-)
Vito won his class and became BM-2 again.
I also showed
Johanna Hellgren's gorgeous red Russian import female, Atamansha,
who became BB-1 with CAC and BOS! Congratulations again, Johanna
& Pertti!
Congratulations to 1 year old Vito & Helmi puppies!
21st of June, 2006
Time flies and the M -litter is already celebrating their
first birthday! Conratulations to all wonderful Vitokids!

Forssa all breed show
18th of June, 2006
entry 21 borzois
breed & group judge Tino Pehar, Croatia
In the morning I packed my car with my mother and our Stella
(1,5 years old) and we headed to Forssa horse racing track.
Lovely day and sun was shining already in the morning out of a
clear blue sky.
Vito was showing lovely and was giving his best in the
trotting as the judge asked us to run a lap after a lap after a
lap after a lap... I like that way of judging - correct movement
is very imoportant part of the breed and wonderful if the judge
really wants to search for it. Vito won his class and became
BM-1.
I also showed Johanna Hellgren's gorgeously moving Fin Lure
Coursing Ch Hatsina Galina Tsarevna "Galja" in open class
females. A lot of running again, which was just a great pleasure
for me to be in the end of Galja's lead as she was showing her
wooonderful movement better and better a lap after a lap after a
lap!!! And - Galja won her class, and also became BB-1 with CAC,
which made her also new Finnish Champion! Big congratulations
Galja and Johanna & Pertti!
In the Best of breed competition I was of course showing Vito,
and after some running again, the judge chose him to BOB! What a
great competition and wonderful results!
We had a nice time with my mom, Stellaand our friends waiting
for the Group ring. Very hot day, but Vito didn't seem to bother.

The same judge was judging the Group and I knew that we would
have a very tough competition ahead of us with the Finland's TOP
sighthounds. But Vito had obviously decided that today is his
day - and showed his best again. And won the whole Group!!! I
was just jumping around in happiness and almost speechless of
joy! A second time within one month he was GROUP-1!
What a day!!! :-)
Finnish Borzoi Club's Speciality show
10th of June, 2006, Helsinki
entry 154 borzois
judges Sue Peskett, kennel Labinska, GB (males)
Allan Hill, kennel
Azka, GB (females)
What a hot summer day! A very potential day to burn the skin,
sweat like hell and be all the time worried if the tents are
cool enough for the dogs! ;-)
Vito decided that if someone's gonna run around the show ring,
that's fine, but at least that is not definitely him :-) So, he
just got EX with no placement.
Despite of his father's sometimes VERY stubborn personality,
white & big Vitoson Molotov "Juri" was showing wonderfully! First he
went EX1 in a big junior males class and then BIS -junior out of
21 junior borzois! What a lovely win, Juri & Elina!!!
European Winner ´06 show
9th of June, 2006, Helsinki
entry 34 borzois
judge Rainer Vuorinen, Finland
We were lucky to have Vito's son, Mogilnikov "Sergej" and his
owner Katri staying with us the whole weekend. What could be
more nice than going to the dog shows with cheerful company! And
so wonderful to meet doggy friends from all over the world again!

Vito was showing nicely and became EX4 in champion
males.

I had a joy to show Sergej too. He was competing in a quite
big junior males class - and became EX1 with EUROPEAN JUNIOR
WINNER ´06 title and got also Qualified for Crufts '07 or '08!! Only two junior males got EX in that class,
and the other one was also a Vitoson, Sergej's brother, Molotov
"Juri"! Big conratulations Sergej & Katri and Juri & Elina!
And thank you so much for the photos, Edith!
Tampere show for Groups 1 & 10
27th of May, 2006
entry 19 borzois
judge Victor Besson, France

Quite a rainy day, but the company of friends was nice! Vito
won his class and became BM-2.

Helsinki Aptus international show
20th of May, 2006
entry 22 borzois
breed judge Andras Korosz, Hungary
group judge Rafael de Santiago, Puerto Rico
I like showing Vito in Helsinki as the driving to the show
only takes about 30 minutes from our home :-)
This time I also got some other reasons for big joy as Vito
didn't only win his class, but became BM-1 again and the also
BOB with CACIB.

But little did I know then - this was just a start! In the
Group ring Vito decided to show GORGEOUSLY and what happened -
he won GROUP-1!!! I almost couldn't believe my ears and eyes
when all the other three lovely sighthounds were already placed
and the judge started looking at us, and after a silent moment
the loudspeaker told us Vito to be the winner! So wonderful!!!
And in the same night Finland won the Eurovision song contest,
which was a nice end for a memorable day :-)
Heart normal and thryoid ok
4th of May, 2006
I just got the results of two health clearances made to Vito
22.4.2007 -
thyroid levels are normal and the heart is normal too! Heart
test is made by ultrasound & EKG.

Lahti international show
22nd of April, 2006

Vito was in a perfect mood already when we packed the car in
the morning and headed to Lahti. Vito was giving his best in the

CACIB and BOB!

Vito number 2 Show Borzoi male 2005!

all the way from Sweden to Turku show - it was SO lovely to
meet you here!

with EX1 and became BM-2 with res-CACIB. Congratulations Simo &
Charlie for you BM win!

Elisabet's lovely black girl, MBISS & MCh Lynx Dark Lady
